In the beginning, you start off as a rather small and weak fishie, which means that you have to watch out for predators at all times. After you eat enough food and grow bigger, you start taking revenge on some of these predators, until you are big enough to just swallow everything standing in your way. However, there’s almost always someone bigger out there, so you shouldn’t be too bold either.

Move quickly and collect various power-ups

In order to spice things up, it is possible to collect certain power-ups whenever they spawn around you. These provide you with certain bonuses and special abilities, such as additional points and extra speed. Speaking of which, your fish can also dash and jump out of the water when it needs to, which comes in handy if you need to catch creatures flying over the sea.

The visual quality of the game is nothing to stand in awe of, but the fishes and the environments are quite detailed most of the time. Some of the environments get a tad repetitive after a while, but you are usually too busy trying to feed and stay alive to notice small details about your surroundings. Thankfully, at least the sound effects are as funny and well-picked as ever, which greatly improves the atmosphere.

A fun experience and two different game modes

All things being equal, Feeding Frenzy 2 is by no means an amazing game concept, but it is fun enough to distract you for a few hours. Thus, if you are looking for something entertaining and challenging at the same time, this may very well be it.
